PLANNING AND MONITORING ENGINEER
The Planning Engineer reporting to the Project Manager will be responsible for all post-award works on construction projects related to Project Planning, Progress Monitoring, and preparing all Reports and attendance in progress review meetings with Client.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Engineering from a recognized University / Engineering College / Technology Institute.
- 10 to 12 years’ experience on Highway/Road projects with a Construction Company as a Planning Engineer.
- Proficient in Primavera planning software.
- Knowledge of job work break down structure and standard form of measurement.
- Knowledge of resource planning.
- Proficient in use of MS Office.
- Conversant with Conditions of Contract and in evaluation of EoT.
- Experience in handling multiple activities and deliverables within critical time frames.
- Ability to work accurately, effectively, and adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.
- Good English communication skills – oral and written.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze contract documents, specifications, drawings and any addendums.
- Liaise with project team for project quantities, WBS, and identify potential variation items.
- Prepare Project Baseline construction schedule, with resource allocation, and incorporating schedules pertaining to Design, Sub-Contractors and materials supply.
- Prepare materials requirement schedule, resource histograms, quantum and financial S-curves.
- Update project construction schedule
- Prepare monthly look-ahead program.
- Review and monitor sub-contracts work schedules.
- Incorporate impact of Change Orders, Variations.
- Prepare analysis for EoT.
- Preparation of monthly progress reports, incorporating variance analysis, earned value analysis and statement of resources required to make up any shortfall in the progress.
- Attend monthly progress meetings, and respond timely to matters arising.
- Regularly visit Site and Liaise with project team for all data.
- Analyze and timely submit impact on schedule due to variations, change orders, design changes, etc.
QUANTITY SURVEYOR
The Quantity Surveyor reporting to the Project Manager will be responsible for all post-award works on construction projects related to quantity surveying, project payment certificates, progress reports, variation orders and contractual matters.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Engineering / B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying from a recognized University / Engineering College / Technology Institute.
- 10 to 12 years’ experience on Highway/Road projects with a Construction Company as a quantity surveyor.
- Knowledge of job cost fundamentals.
- Proficient computer skills – MS Office.
- Proficient in use of AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of standard forms of measurement.
- Conversant with Conditions of Contract and procedures; FIDIC.
- Proficient in evaluation and submission of Contractual matters.
- Experience in handling multiple activities and deliverables within critical time frames.
- Ability to work accurately, effectively, and adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.
- Good English communication skills – oral and written.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER (HIGHWAYS / ROADS)
The Construction Manager reporting to the Project Manager, will be responsible for project implementation in accordance with project specifications and to the project schedule.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University / Engineering College / Technology Institute.
- Experience in project implementation with a leading Construction Company on highway / road projects, at least 15 years’ experience in road construction projects.
- Proficient computer skills – MS Office.
- Familiar with road geometric designs and road construction materials specifications, and QA/QC requirements.
- Familiar with Conditions of Contract, FIDIC.
- Good English communication skills – oral and written.
- Possess leadership skills to manage multi-cultural staff.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement the project in accordance with the Project schedule, Project specifications, and Project management plan.
- Liaise with Client representatives / Consultants for work approvals.
- Liaise with Subcontractors and Local Authorities.
- Construction scheduling, monitoring, and requisition for resources, materials, manpower and plant & equipment.
- Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and allocation of resources (plant & equipment & manpower), QA/QC, and the works of subcontractors;
- Ensure implementation of work schedules.

- Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University / Engineering College / Technology Institute.
- Experience in project implementation with a leading Construction Company on highway / road projects, with at least 10 years’ experience in construction of road structures (box culverts, bridges, retaining walls).
- Proficient computer skills – MS Office.
- Familiar with road geometric designs and road construction materials specifications and QA/QC requirements.
- Familiar with Conditions of Contract, FIDIC.
- Good English communication skills – oral and written.
- Possess leadership skills to manage multi-cultural staff.

- Experience in project implementation with a leading Construction Company on highway / road projects, with at least 10 years’ experience in road construction projects.
- Proficient computer skills – MS Office.
- Conversant with road geometric designs and road pavement construction materials specifications, and QA/QC requirements.
- Conversant with road asphalt pavement construction for highways.
- Familiar with Conditions of Contract, FIDIC.
- Good English communication skills – oral and written.
- Possess leadership skills to manage multi-cultural staff.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement the project work allocation related to construction of road pavement works in accordance with the project schedule, project specifications, and project management plan.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in Civil Engineering / Diploma in Draughtman Civil from a recognized Engineering College / Technology Institute.
- 7 to 10 years’ experience with a Construction Company as a Civil Draughtsman on highways / roads projects.
- Proficient computer skills – MS Office.
- Proficient in use of AutoCAD and have working knowledge of Civil 3D.
- Have working knowledge of design standards pertaining to roads geometry and cross sections.
- Experience in handling multiple activities and deliverables within critical time frames.
- Ability to work accurately, effectively, and adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.
- Good English communication skills – oral and written.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation of design drawings, construction drawings, shop drawings, road X-sections, road profiles, and as-built drawings as required by Project Manager and project team.
- Maintain Drawings register.
- Liaise with Land Surveyors for all field data.
- Provide measurements and quantities from drawings as required by Project team.
- Provided measurements and quantities to Quantity Surveyor for preparation of monthly valuations / certificates of work done on the scheduled date.
- Incorporate timely revisions to drawings for submission and approvals.
- Provide approved drawings for construction to project team.
- Incorporate revisions timely to drawings and provide revised drawings to project team.
- Provide revised measurements and quantities based on revisions and change orders to Project team and Quantity Surveyor.
