Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
2. Experience: 3-5+ years of proven experience in structural design or detailing, with a strong focus on TEKLA Structures.
3. TEKLA Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of TEKLA Structures, including the modelling environment, drawing editor, and creation of custom components.
4. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of steel and/or concrete structural detailing, fabrication processes, and construction sequences.
5. Code Familiarity: Working knowledge of relevant building codes and standards (e.g., AISC, ACI, Eurocode).
6. Soft Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.

Duties & Responsibilities
3D Modeling: Develop and maintain accurate, high-detail (LOD 400) 3D structural models using TEKLA Structures for steel, precast concrete, and composite structures.
Drawing Production: Generate comprehensive and precise 2D shop drawings, fabrication details, bills of materials (BOMs), and erection drawings directly from the 3D model.
Coordination & Clash Detection: Actively participate in project coordination meetings. Identify and resolve clashes between structural elements and other disciplines (MEP, architectural) using the BIM model.
Analysis & Design (if applicable): Utilize Tekla Structural Designer (TSD) to perform structural analysis, design calculations, and scheme comparisons for various structural systems
Collaboration: Work closely with structural engineers to interpret design intent and implement it into the model. Communicate effectively with fabricators and on-site teams to resolve technical queries and ensure constructability.
Standards & Templates: Assist in the development and maintenance of company-specific TEKLA components, templates, and best practices to improve efficiency and consistency
Quality Control: Meticulously review and check models and drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards, design codes (e.g., AISC, Eurocode), and engineering specifications.
- Analyses the Structural GA Drawings & Understanding the Project Scope from the Drawings.
- Knowledge of Bill of Material taken from Structural GA Drawings
Preparation of Fabrication drawings from Structural GA Drawings as per Client Requirements.
OTHER IMPORTANT POINT
1.Experience with Tekla Structural Designer (TSD) for analysis and design.
2. Proficiency in other BIM or CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Revit.
3. Experience with BIM coordination platforms like Trimble Connect or Navisworks.
4. Professional certification in TEKLA software.
5. Field experience in a fabrication shop or on a construction site.
