Structure Engineer shall:

• Hold overall responsibility for resource management, site progress and health & safety of the employees.
• Liaise with Client representative on day-to-day basis on site related matters.
• Liaise with Site Manager and ensure that required resources are provided to site.
• Plan and implement the execution strategy and set up regular co-ordination/progress meetings with the structure team.
• Ensure that daily, weekly and monthly targets are set, monitored and achieved.
• Ensure Technical Queries are raised wherever design deficiencies are encountered.
• Ensure Concession Requests are raised where deviation from the specified requirement is imminent.
• Ensure verbal instructions received from Client are documented and Client’s approval obtained.
• Ensure to establish effective systems to monitor and control the structural works.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and Company’s QHSE requirements.
• Authorise material request at site and ensure optimum use of construction materials.
• Avoid material wastage, repairs and work repetitions.
• Submit daily progress reports to the Planning Engineer or Site Manager for each day’s finished job.
• Direct the construction operations through the Supervisors.
• Monitor manpower and material resources to ensure programme is met.
• Prepare Method statements for site activities.

• Coordinate with the Supervisor and execute the work as per planned schedules.
• Coordinate with QC Engineer for fulfilling the inspection & test requirements of the project.
• Coordinate with the subcontractors and ensure preparation of applicable reports on daily basis.
• Assist the storekeeper in the receiving and inspection of the project materials, where required.
• Respond to audits carried out internally and externally and ensure effective corrective & preventive actions are taken on NCRs/CARs.
• Control and supervise site workforce and ensure safe working conditions for them.
• Liaise with site HSE Advisor during safety inspections.
• Ensure effective communication on site.
• Ensure that the site is maintained in a tidy condition.
