Quantity Surveyors for O&G Project

ROLE

Responsible in measuring, re-measurements and reporting on quantities of the Work following the Contract qualifications (pre-ambles) at Construction stages.

Responsible for measuring all the construction activities and quantities as well as utilised Materials, Labour, Plant & Equipment Responsible for the final account preparation.

Responsible for the final Cost Estimate (i.e. 80% of Project Progress) used for validation and calibration of Purchase Orders.

Responsible for actual recordings of the original BoQ and Changes.

Responsible for the review of the BoQ and MTO or BOM at any Design and Engineering phase.

He/she shall report to Senior Quantity Surveyor at Coastal and Construction Coordinator at Site.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 6 years experience in Quantity Surveying in a major Construction environment.

Minimum 3 years experience with activity or work sampling techniques and relevant statistic methods.

Minimum 3 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry. Preferable familiar with Company or Shell standards and guidelines Fully conversant with International Design & Construction Standards for the Oil & gas industry.

General

Has the potential to develop up to a Cost Estimator/Engineer position for large projects. Has down to earth commercial appreciation and judgment. Has IT development experiences with databases. Good spoken/written English and adept in conducting formal meetings.

Personality

Good interpersonal and communication skills. Shall be able to continuously interact with Company Construction and QS teams. Both accuracy and consistency are good personal requirements. Be able to challenge Cost Estimates prepared by others and Third Party

Principal Accountabilities 

Review of proposed “Star Rates” on description and validation. Providing all type of measurements or valuations of Direct costs in Cost Estimates at all phases in the ORP development process. Single focal point responsible for all Quantity Surveying issues at Interior. Final account preparation.
